Garth Brooks concert at BofA Stadium rescheduled for 2nd time. Here’s the new date.

Noble Horvath

Garth Brooks has rescheduled his upcoming concert at Bank of America Stadium to April 10, 2021.

The concert had been originally scheduled for May 2 of this year. It was then rescheduled for June 13, and most recently scheduled for a third date, Oct. 10. All tickets for the sold-out event will be honored.

When tickets went on sale in December, 74,000 were sold in 90 minutes. It’s scheduled to be the largest paid crowd in the history of Bank of America stadium.

The concert is scheduled to be Brooks’ first time in Charlotte in over 20 years. The 58-year-old singer hasn’t been to town since he played a pair of sold-out shows (attended by 48,000-plus) on back-to-back nights at the old Charlotte Coliseum in March 1998 — during the decade in which he cranked out a slew of No. 1 hits, from “If Tomorrow Never Comes” and “The Dance”

No public tickets to Biden town hall | Election

Noble Horvath

No public tickets are available for a CNN town hall Thursday with Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, a Lackawanna County stadium official said Monday.

The network is selecting the 90 attendees, all Democrats and independents, who will drive in and park near the stage, said Christopher Munley, chairman of the county multipurpose stadium authority.

The one-hour town hall is scheduled for 8 p.m. in a parking lot outside PNC Field, the authority-owned stadium in Moosic.

A CNN official briefed him on the plans Saturday when he visited the venue, Munley said.

The network aims to heed Gov. Tom Wolf’s order banning public gatherings of more than 250 people because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Munley said. With network staff, Secret Service agents and others working on the event, the audience is limited, he said. A federal judge in Pittsburgh ruled the limit unconstitutional Monday.

For its town halls, the network typically

Tennessee football restricts tickets to about 25% of Neyland’s seats

Noble Horvath

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football will be selling tickets for approximately 25% of the fan seats at Neyland Stadium this season, officials announced Tuesday. The stadium has a capacity of 102,455, counting everybody in the building, which means around 25,000 fans.

The Volunteers’ first home game is Oct. 3 against Missouri, and university officials say restrictions could change during the season based on statewide virus data and recommendations from public health officials. Tennessee asked fans statewide to wear masks in public.

Athletic director Phillip Fulmer said he empathizes with the thousands of fans who won’t get to experience an in-person game day this season.

“These circumstances are beyond our control, and we understand the importance of playing our part to keep our community healthy,” Fulmer said. “For those who will be with us in the stadium this season, please know that we are committed to creating the safest possible environment

Browns proposed plan for fans at FirstEnergy Stadium: Tickets in pods, stadium in quadrants, masks and no tailgating

Noble Horvath

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A little over a week ago, Browns owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam said they hoped to have fans at FirstEnergy Stadium this season and cited about 20% capacity as a possibility.

Today, the team is unveiling its FirstEnergy Stadium Restart plan in an email to season ticket members.

Although the plan is announced today, the team remains uncertain if and when it can host fans at games, including the home opener against Cincinnati on Sept. 17. The plan still needs approval from the office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

“The ‘FirstEnergy Stadium Responsible Restart Plan’ is the result of a tremendous amount of time and resources that our entire team has spent over the past four months to develop a comprehensive stadium plan that prioritizes health and safety while allowing a reduced capacity of fans to return to our stadium for Browns games this fall,” Executive Vice

Allegiant Stadium to put Vegas on stadium concert map

Noble Horvath

He remembers when the phone never rang.

“The acts, promoters and agents weren’t calling us back in the ’80s; we were calling them,” says Pat Christenson, president of Las Vegas Events and former event coordinator for the UNLV athletic department, where he booked the Thomas & Mack Center and Sam Boyd Stadium until 2001. “For stadium shows, we didn’t get a sniff. No one.”

That changed in April 1991, when Christenson lured The Grateful Dead to the latter venue. The band had worn out its welcome in Los Angeles because of its party-hard crowds and was looking for a new place to play in the region.

Christenson pounced.

“If it weren’t for the fact that they were having trouble in LA, we wouldn’t have even gotten The Dead,” he acknowledges.

On the map

Two full-capacity shows and 79,000 tickets later, Las Vegas was officially on the stadium concert map.

LSU announces COVID-related priority consideration for student tickets for 2020 season

Noble Horvath

Keith Farner | 6 days ago

LSU students now have a way to move up the priority list for tickets in Tiger Stadium this season.

LSU sent students an email Monday saying students who complete a coronavirus test any time after Tuesday will have priority consideration for student tickets for the 2020 football season, The Advocate reported.

LSU said last week that Tiger Stadium would have 25 percent capacity for the Mississippi State game on Sept. 26. Interim LSU president Tom Galligan said at the time a plan was being finalized that would require students to prove they tested negative for COVID-19 to attend games.

The student ticket plan, according to the email, makes testing an incentive to receive tickets, and the email directed students to the testing facility options on campus. The student ticketing plan, which was developed by the LSU ticket office and the university’s student government, said

49ers open season against Cardinals at Levi’s Stadium without fans in the seats

Noble Horvath

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTXL) — The NFL is back and the San Francisco 49ers are hoping to have a successful “revenge tour” after their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

The 49ers kicked off week one by hosting the Arizona Cardinals Sunday and Levi’s Stadium’s parking was nearly empty.

49er faithful Jenina Moreno and Jeff Miles were the only fans FOX40 could find within a mile of the stadium.

“It’s the revenge tour baby, we’re going to win, we’re going to take it all,” Moreno cheered.

Moreno and Miles arrived on monowheel scooters to be a part of the atmosphere even if they couldn’t get inside.

“Just to celebrate game day with the 49ers,” Miles explained.

But both said they were disappointed to see they were the only fans around.

“We thought there would be some type of tailgating, but we seem to be the only
