The OWA entertainment destination in Foley is on the brink of resuming normal operations after Hurricane Sally, with its amusement park set to open Friday.

The Park at OWA will open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, then be open from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct 3-4.

Other attractions in the Downtown OWA dining and shopping district continue to reopen, according to updates posted at visitowa.com. Many restaurants and stores, including Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant and the Clash eSports Center, reopened last week, while other openings are imminent. Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen is to reopen Thursday, Oct. 1. Entertainer Brandon Styles was to present a magic show Friday and a variety show Saturday.

A new lineup for the Legends in Concert tribute show had been scheduled to open Sept. 17 but was delayed by the storm. Instead, the “Direct from London” lineup was to premiere Wednesday, Sept. 30. The show features tribute artists portraying Elton John, Freddie Mercury, George Michael and Rod Stewart.

Admission is required for The Park at OWA. Admission to Downtown OWA is free, though specific attractions such as Clash and Legends in Concert are separately ticketed. For tickets, showtimes and updates on special events planned for October, see www.visitowa.com or www.facebook.com/VisitOWA.
