Those who’ve watched Little People, Big World know plenty about Matt and Amy Roloff. The couple was married for 30 years and had Roloff Farms together, though now they’re divorced. Matt now oversees farm operations while Amy moved off of the farm property and bought a new home elsewhere.
Last year, Amy mentioned some strife on the farm. But according to her Instagram, it seems she’ll be back on Roloff Farms for 2020. Here’s what she said.

Matt and Amy love pumpkin season, as it’s the perfect time for fans to fly out and meet the LPBW cast as well as check out Roloff Farms. But it seems it hasn’t been quite the same for Amy since the divorce. While Amy typically helps out with some of the pumpkin season operations and dresses up to delight fans, she mentioned on her Instagram last year was particularly tough.
Back in October 2019, Amy posted a photo of her and her fiancé, Chris Marek, to Instagram. “Though I’m not a part of Pumpkin season as much as I want or can be this year, for various reasons, I’ll always love seeing and meeting so many of you that come,” she captioned the post. “I’ll share some stories of people I’ve met so far this year, stories shared that impacted me.”
This gave some fans pause. And after one fan asked why Amy wasn’t going to be on the farm as much, Amy replied, “just not as much this year. It’s changed for me now and because I choose not to be a part of a confrontation that could have impacted others from an ultimatum that was said to me if followed through.”
Amy noted Matt might not be telling her everything that’s happening for pumpkin season this year
We’re not exactly sure what went on on Roloff Farms in 2019 that caused “confrontation.” But Amy alluded via Instagram Live that she wasn’t as involved in Roloff Farms again in 2020.
Matt first explained to his Instagram followers that he wasn’t sure if Roloff Farms could pull of pumpkin season due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. But he ultimately figured out a way to make it work. However, it doesn’t seem like Amy was part of this conversation.
“I know that Matt and Caryn and Zach and Tori had a pumpkin meeting,” Amy told an Instagram follower while going Live. “So, I’m really not sure what’s happening with pumpkin season.”
She then reiterated once again that she’s not sure what’s going on. “But no, I don’t know what’s happening with pumpkin season,” she said again. “To tell you the truth, guys, I’m with you. I’ll have to go on to my own website and figure that out.”
She verified she’ll be on Roloff Farms in 2020
In early September, it didn’t sound like fans should expect to see Amy on the farm property. But it seems she and Matt were able to work it out. She posted a photo to Instagram on Sept. 28 showing her beside her fall decor. And she explained via the caption that she’ll be on the farm helping out.
“Roloff Farms is open for pumpkin season. It’ll still be a fun family time just a different kind of fun because of the challenging times we are in,” Amy captioned the post. “I’ll be there in costume helping out in the fall pumpkin season festivities. Hope to see some of you there in mask and to say hi.”
Fans are excited about the news, too.
“It’s funny because I was just wondering if you were still participating,” one wrote. “That’s awesome, can’t wait.”
“I’m glad you’re going to be on the farm for pumpkin season,” another wrote. “It would not be the same without you!”
We’ll have to wait and see what’s really going on between Matt and Amy on the new season of LPBW premiering Sept. 29 on TLC!
