Due to high temperatures affecting Orange County, the City of Garden Grove will open a public cooling center […] September 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Garden Grove Sports and Recreation Center, located at 13641 Deodara Drive.

All ages are welcome to enjoy the air-conditioned facility. Visitors will have access to the center’s lobby, gym, multi-purpose room, and restrooms. Food will not be provided or available, however, visitors may bring their own food and eat in the multi-purpose room. There will be no access to drinking fountains; bottled water is available upon request. No animals are allowed, other than service animals.

  • Must sign in at the front desk.
