During the spring and summer of 2020, Eagle Scout, Josh Camp worked towards completing his Eagle Scout Service Project.
Although COVID-19 proved to have some challenges and delays for Scout Camp to get through, he finally was able to complete his project in August 2020.
Due to his connection with the community and soccer programs here in Clare, he saw a need for a footbridge at the Emerald Isle Recreation Complex.

The area where he chose to put the footbridge was where there is deep trenching between the trail and one of the larger fields. This trench could pose an issue for visitors trying to cross over to get to those larger fields.
This was a collaboration project for the Eagle Scout and Clare Parks and Recreation. The Friends of Clare County Parks and Recreation, Rapid Construction, and the Home Depot provided the materials for the project.
According to a press release from Clare Parks and Recreation, Clare Parks and Recreation and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is thankful to Eagle Scout Camp for choosing the complex for his service project and being able to have him serve as a referee for the youth soccer program over the last few years.
