Fairfirst Insurance has been recognized as a top insurer to work for across the Asia Pacific. In fact, it is the only Sri Lankan Company listed in the ‘2020 Top Insurance Workplaces in Asia-Pacific’ by Insurance Business Asia. This is another global recognition for Fairfirst and comes a few months after they won the ‘Most Innovative’ award across the Fairfax Group of companies located around the globe.

Fairfirst has always believed that while they may never become the world’s biggest insurer, nothing can stop them from being the best, in the world. And this recent recognition is yet another milestone surpassed in their journey to be the best.

Managing Director & CEO of Fairfirst Insurance, Dr. Sanjeev Jha commented, “We are proud to be the only Sri Lankan Company to be ranked amongst the best insurance workplaces across the Asia Pacific. This is a moment of bright optimism and reinforces our belief in each other and in our hard work-culture which makes it possible for us to nurture the goodness in what we do.”

Being distinguished as a top workplace has further strengthened the Fairfirst brand as an employer of choice in beautiful Sri Lanka and as a distinctive insurer across the region.

The company stands among 20 other global insurance giants in the industry as the only Sri Lankan brand, where performance was judged in several areas, including remuneration, training and professional development, diversity and inclusion, culture and access to technology. The weight of these metrics was amplified by how they showcased their strengths during challenging times by not just supporting impacted customers, but also ensuring that colleagues remained safe and healthy, engaged, and productive. And optimistically enough, Fairfirst has become one of those distinctive companies.

Adding on to this exciting news, Head of Human Resources Fairfirst Insurance, Manjari Kumarage stated, “Everyone faced their own challenges during the pandemic, however the strength in overcoming those challenges was key. Our utmost priority remained in crafting an environment where our colleagues can be the best at what they do.

Staying true to our values and being optimistic to be the best is what we always strive for. We have an amazing work culture because we have amazing colleagues whose commitment and support never wavered.”

Fairfirst Insurance Limited, is part of the global Fairfax Group.
