“We are always experimenting with different optimization methods to bring you better content, and even now, the development of multiple versions is proceeding simultaneously to ensure that content will continue to roll out in a stable manner,” the blog post, which was published on Saturday, reads.

Developers stated that they are looking to update Genshin Impact every six weeks with future versions releasing on Wednesdays. Each version update will come with its own themed event, which you can read about below.

– Version 1.1 – Estimated to arrive November 11, the Unreconciled Stars event will take place in this version.

– Version 1.2 – Estimated to arrive December 23, this version will unveil the Dragonspine area and its related event.

– Version 1.3 – Estimated to arrive in February 2021, the Lantern Rite event series comes with this version.

Accompanying the roadmap, the official Genshin Impact site detailed some of the changes and revisions coming to the game with November’s version 1.1. Many of these changes specify if abilities and buffs stack, while others revise the text/description of certain attacks.

Recently, IGN Japan spoke with a spokesperson for Genshin Impact to talk about future updates, the current platforms the game is available for and if that will change in the foreseeable future.

IGN learned that that new mechanics are not in the immediate plans for Genshin Impact, and instead the developers are looking to expand the world outward. This includes more characters—there are currently 20 characters to choose from—more cities added to the current two and character-specific missions.

“We already have plans in regards to Genshin Impact on next-gen consoles, and we will update everyone accordingly at a future date,” the spokesperson told IGN.

However, the team behind Genshin Impact doesn’t have any plans to develop an Xbox version of the game.

Genshin Impact is available now for PS4 and mobile devices and is coming to Nintendo Switch in the future.
