Do you know someone who has provided a unique and lasting impact on our community during 2020?
Those with the most impactful contributions will receive a $500 Amazon gift card, as well as gifts from the Kentucky Derby Festival and recognition as an Official Kentucky Derby Festival Community Champion.
“2020 has been a year like no other. Through the challenges, we’ve seen champions in all walks of life,” said Matt Gibson, Kentucky Derby Festival president and CEO. “We want to thank those who’ve had a special impact on our community — and we’re asking for the public’s help to nominate those individuals.”

Not sure if your community champion is a good fit to win the $500 Amazon gift card? The festival has provided a variety of examples from medical and education champions to neighborhood and warehouse champions both on the front line and behind the scenes. Nominees can be an individual or work for a business. And yes, you can submit more than one nomination.
Now through Nov. 6, nominations are being accepted online at KDF.org/CommunityChampions. Once the nominations close, a panel of judges will review and announce six top Community Champions in mid-November.
