IT feels like a long time since we last saw a load of good-looking people trying to find love on ITV2, but bosses won’t be making us wait until next summer for our next fix.
I’m told that the channel has put together a new dating show called The Cabins, which will air early next year, as they play matchmaker on a new set of hopefuls.
The format will see singletons paired up to spend the night in a hut in a remote part of the UK.
The couples will be forced to ditch their smartphones as they spend 24 hours on the most intense first date of their lives.
If they are a good match they can choose to stay in the cabin for longer. But if sparks don’t fly, they will be paired with another contestant.
A source said: “Bosses are going back to basics with The Cabins.
“Set away from the distractions of modern life, two singletons will have to spend time together and properly get to know each other without a profile on a dating app.
“After 24 hours together they will be able to decide whether they stay together for a bit longer, or move on to someone new.
“If they remain as a couple for up to four days, we then give some other singles the chance to enter the cabin and potentially meet their Mr or Miss Right.”
The source added: “They’ll start filming in the next few months as they’re casting now and it will air in the new year.”
The show will fill the gap left by Winter Love Island, which launched in South Africa in January and was won by Finley Tapp and Paige Turley.
ITV2 has said that Love Island will not return until summer 2021 because of coronavirus.
A cabin in the a**e end of nowhere sounds like the safest place to be right now.
WHAT? Location, Location, Location: 20 Years and Counting, C4, 8pm.
WHY? Hosts Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp look back over two decades of helping the public find homes over 400 editions of the show.
Isle be back with a new woman
LOVE Island star Josh Denzel was back enjoying the sun-drenched Balearics this week — and back with another woman on his arm.
The tattooed muscle man was holidaying in Ibiza — two years after he was in neighbouring island Majorca romancing Kaz Crossley on the ITV2 dating show.
After hooking up in the villa, their relationship came to a surprising end six months later.
He seemed shocked when Kaz quickly moved on and started dating fellow Love Islander Theo Campbell.
Judging by the photo, Josh looks like he is trying to pick up the shattered pieces of his life by partying on the beach with a mystery woman.
EMMA Willis will be back in her scrubs on UKTV later this year for a new series of Emma Willis: Delivering Babies.
The studios have also created a second series of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, set to air in 2021.
Finding Nemo in ‘Enders
SOMETHING fishy is going on at EastEnders – and it’s not one of the soap’s storylines. It’s emerged that Scott Maslen, who plays Jack Branning, was dubbed Nemo for keeping his tackle handy.
Cheryl Fergison, who played Heather Trott, revealed on the Distinct Nostalgia podcast: “Scott Maslen I nicknamed Nemo because my dressing room used to be next door.
“He had all his fishing tackle in there and it stank of fish. In between he would sometimes go fishing up to the lake.”
Cheryl added that she was in awe of working with legends such as Barbara Windsor and Steve McFadden.
She said: “Sometimes you just have to go, ‘These people I learn from every day’.”
And what a cute nickname for one of Walford’s tough guys.
BACK when he was on Made in Chelsea, Vogue Williams wasn’t exactly a fan of future husband Spencer Matthews.
She made her feelings clear in 2013, when she was married to former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and had yet to meet the posh former lothario.
Radio presenter Vogue took to Twitter to suggest that Spencer should “shut up” after watching just two episodes of the E4 show.
On the first edition of their Spencer & Vogue podcast, she admitted: “He was such an a***hole on it that it actually drove me to tweet my disgust.
“You turned me into a troll.”
Spencer said it was a “lame” response. I think she was rather restrained.
GREG Davies will star in BBC1 comedy The Cleaner as murder scene cleaning technician Wicky.
The comic said: “As a young man I told a careers adviser that I wanted to mop blood up for a living or be a comedian.”
Screw’s raising the bars
FROM Porridge to Prison Break to Bad Girls, some of TV’s best shows have been set behind bars. Now Channel 4 is adding to that list with Screw.
The newly commissioned six-part drama from STV Productions will be set in an all-male jail.
Heading up the staff at the facility is Leigh, who’s devoted her life to the institution and its inmates. And she’s seen going above and beyond the call of duty for the lags.
Adding authenticity to the script is writer Rob Williams, who has worked on shows including Killing Eve, and previously worked in jails as a civilian.
He said: “There is so much more to prison and those who live and work there than misery and violence.”
This might turn out to be the best prison drama yet . . .
SALLY Dynevor wants Denise Welch’s character to return to Corrie so they can finish their feud.
On Loose Women, Sally said: “I think Denise’s character is the only one I’ve ever slapped that hard on the Street before.”
Thrones not cool
EMILIA Clarke says Game Of Thrones bosses provided costume cooling pumps for male actors — but not their female co-stars.
The actor, who played Daenerys Targaryen, told this week’s Edinburgh TV Festival: “When we were there shooting things in a hot country they had all of these things on.

“This pump had its own little generator that was attached into the costumes.
“They used it to pump cold water into these pipes and cool them down.
