Let’s all be honest here, rejection sucks. Even some of our favorite celebs have certainly met their fair share of it before they made it big.

While appearing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Millie Bobby Brown recently opened up about almost quitting acting after not getting a role on Game of Thrones.
“Like, this industry is just full of rejection, 24/7. You get far more nos – a lot of nos – before you get a yes. I was auditioning for commercials, for anything, really. I then auditioned for Game of Thrones and I got a ‘no’ for that. Then that’s kind of when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult,’ because I guess I really wanted that role,” she said.
“So one of my last kind of gos at this was this Netflix show called Montauk. And I auditioned. And then, two months later, they got back to us and was like, ‘Hey, we’d love to Skype with you,'” Millie continued. “I Skyped with them, and the rest is history, of course. We then named the show Stranger Things, but Montauk was definitely the one that kind of gave me that hope of doing it all again.”
We definitely can’t imagine Stranger Things without her, so it certainly seems like fate was on her side.
Ever since, Millie has been nominated for an Emmy Award and was named one of Time’s most influential people. Plus, with Enola Holmes, she’s now trying her hand at producing, so things definitely worked out.
