Vacaville Museum Guild’s Historic Homes Walking Tours will continue as long as there is a demand for them, a guild spokeswoman has announced.

The Oct. 3 tour “did quite well” and another one is set for Saturday, Angela Moutray, publicity director for the guild, said in a press release issued Monday.

If anything amid the ongoing pandemic, the tours may be viewed as “the cure for a nasty case of boredom,” she quipped in the prepared statement.

The pending tour starts at 10 a.m. Participants are asked to meet in the museum’s courtyard, at 213 Buck Ave., where the leisurely walk will begin, a chance to “learn some local history” and “to enjoy the sights and tales of Buck Avenue,” Moutray wrote.

Each walk will take a different route to explore different “hidden sights and tales of the city,” she added.

The cost is $15 per person. Children are free. Tours are limited to 15 participants.

Wear comfortable shoes, a mask, and, of course, dress for the weather.

For those who wish, the $15 tour fee may be applied to a museum membership.

To make your reservation, call the museum at (707) 447-4513.

The museum is currently operating on limited hours, Thursday through Saturday from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
