Austin police are investigating a report of a suspicious package found at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, airport officials said in a tweet around 10:30 a.m.
Police said its bomb squad is responding to the airport. Police received a call about the package at 9:56 a.m.
The areas around Security Checkpoint 2 are closed, officials said.
Passengers will still be screened through Security Checkpoint 1.
The roads on the arrival and departure levels of the airport are closed.
“Travelers should anticipate delays and contact their airline for more information regarding their flight status,” airport officials said.
