Missing the taste of in-flight meals? You’ll soon be able to dine onboard one of Singapore Airlines’ Airbus A380s – but not in the air. This comes after the national carrier said that it’s ditching its infamous ‘flights to nowhere’ plan that was announced in early September.

In its place, the national carrier is launching Restaurant A380 @ Changi. For two days only on October 24 and 25, Singapore Airlines is hosting dinners on its Airbus A380 super jumbos while the aircraft remains parked at Changi Airport. Savour its iconic dishes from the airlines’ signature international cuisine menu or try out its Peranakan menu specially designed by acclaimed Singaporean chef Shermay Lee. You have the option to pair your meal with two complimentary alcoholic drinks or a free flow of other beverages.

Restaurant A380 @ Changi is just part of its ‘Suite of Experiences’ that will be launched in the coming weeks, which also include a tour of the SIA Training Centre taking place on November 21, 22, 28 and 29, as well as home delivery services of its first class and business class menus. You can also opt to pay extra to try out the flight simulator that pilots use for training, enjoy a wine appreciation session or go through a grooming workshop conducted by SIA’s cabin crew trainers.

The experiences can be booked on KrisShop.com from 12 October – with the option to redeem your miles for this experience or earn miles when you book.
