Pirate Water Taxi has announced that it will bring back its Haunted River Tours to set sail every weekend in October from downtown Tampa.
Led by dressed-up ghouls, the crew offers family friendly spooks as they “tell eerie stories of Tampa’s past,” a news release said.
The return of the haunted tours brings one more Halloween event in a year that some of the big ones, like Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights and Disney’s after-hours party at the Magic Kingdom, have been canceled. But others, including Busch Gardens and ZooTampa, are going ahead with Halloween parties, just at a reduced capacity and with greater social distancing.
Organizers said the Haunted River Tours will take place on its newest vessel Captain Jack II, which will operate at 50 percent capacity along with new health and safety protocols.
Tickets start at $25 for adults and $20 for children. The 45-minute cruise will have on-board entertainment and beer, wine, hard seltzers, soda and bottled water for sale.
