Summer is winding down, and while a lot has changed since early spring, getting out of the house safely remains tricky. We recently showed you some places to responsibly get out and on the water around Dallas-Fort Worth for a day of fun and sun.
If you’re still feeling cooped up, a night or two (or more) at a cabin in the woods, on a lake, by a river or in the mountains could be just what you need.
If you want to unwind and reconnect with nature, check out these escapes just outside D-FW or across the Oklahoma border. For more details, visit the website listed for each location.
Please note: If you’re planning to visit a state or county park near your cabin destination, call ahead of time to find out whether advance reservations are required because of limited capacity and social distancing guidelines.
