WAILUKU — A five-year prison term was ordered for a Waiehu woman who was caught trying to steal a rental vehicle.

Sheena Kekona Cramer, 27, pleaded no contest to unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and was sentenced Friday.

She took the vehicle March 9 from Avis Rent A Car in Kahului and was identified by a worker from another rental car company, said Deputy Prosecutor Sally Tobin.

She said Kekona Cramer has four prior convictions, including two for felony offenses.

Last month, Kekona Cramer was resentenced to five-year prison terms after violating her probation for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug in 2013 and 2014 cases, court records show.

She had previously been sentenced and resentenced to probation in the cases and had been given a chance to participate in the Maui Drug Court program of treatment and supervision.

Second Circuit Judge Rhonda Loo ordered that Kekona Cramer serve the latest prison term at the same time as the terms previously imposed.
